DIY Industrial Shelves

June 8, 2015

This DIY really couldn’t be simpler. About six months ago my husband and I made me these DIY industrial shelves for our kitchen and I love them! Of course I had to share how to make them with you. The best part? You can make these for about $4!

DIY Industrial Shelves

All you need is some old pallet wood and four shelf brackets. Usually you can find old pallet wood at nurseries, near dumpsters or maybe a friend has some you can have. I feel like since Pinterest started we probably all have a pallet somewhere in our garage right?! You know, just in case we wanted to bust out an outdoor coffee table or planter on a moments notice.

We bought the brackets at Home Depot for .97 cents each! They are actually a sturdy plastic material and came in grey color so we used the same spray paint from this project to paint the brackets and give them the industrial look we were hoping for.

My hubby cut the wood to the size we wanted and then attached the brackets to the wood with screws. All we needed to do then was hang them in the kitchen. Easy peasy!

Think you might like to make these shelves? Are you a DIY fan?

Chrissy
