My First VoxBox!

May 12, 2015

I’m so excited I got my first Influenster VoxBox! I joined Influenster in December and have been hoping to receive a VoxBox since then. When I was selected to receive the Blossom VoxBox I couldn’t wait to get it in the mail! I wanted to share my experience with you so that you can learn more about it and hopefully get a VoxBox yourself! Here are a few answers to questions you may have about VoxBox and Influenster:

What is Influenster and how do you join?

Influenster is basically a community of people who are active on social media as well as product consumers who enjoy giving their opinions of certain products. Anyone can join Influenster and it’s free to join! You can join Influenster by signing up on their website or the Influenster app. People that are a part of Influenster or “Influensters” participate by learning about different products and reviewing them as well.  Products are not limited to one category; it’s everything from lipstick to snacks for your little’s lunchbox. Once you are a part of Influenster, you can create your profile and start earning badges! You earn badges by doing reviews of everyday products you have tried.

What is a VoxBox and how can I get one?

A VoxBox is a box mailed to you from Influenster with complimentary products inside for your review. Some Voxbox’s are all one brand and some have a variety of products from different brands. Connecting your social media accounts and earning badges can boost your efforts in receiving a VoxBox but receiving a VoxBox is not guaranteed.

How long does it take to receive your first VoxBox?

For me personally, there was about a five month span between when I signed up on Influenster and when I received my first VoxBox. I believe this varies from person to person depending on the current VoxBox campaign and whether or not you qualify from the survey they send you. Like I mentioned earlier, VoxBox’s are not guaranteed but it is more probable you will receive one the more active you are on social media and in earning badges.

Would you recommend Influenster?

Yes! I love reading reviews on products from people who have actually tried them. Especially being a frugal mama, I would rather find out beforehand if a product is good or not before I spend the money on it, especially beauty products. And now after receiving a VoxBox? I mean, who doesn’t love to receive new and free products in the mail?!

VoxBox

Now onto what was inside the Blossom VoxBox! I tried everything I received and wanted to share with you my honest opinions about each product:

Hair Food Root Cleansing Shampoo by Clairol with $3.00 off coupon

This shampoo is great and it was my favorite product in the box! It made my hair shiny after I used it and it smells so good! My favorite part about this shampoo is that it’s Silicon, Paraben and Mineral Oil free.

Australian Gold Sunscreen Lotion SPF 30

This sunscreen smells amazing and is nice and light. It’s not too thick or heavy which I like.

Sally Hansen Airbrush Legs

This product is so neat! It’s kind of like foundation for your legs. I have to say that I am starting to be more interested in using only 100 percent natural products on my skin but if I had an event and wanted my legs to look extra smooth, this product is great!

Beanitos chips and $1.00 off coupon

These were yummy! My hubby liked them too. The flavors included were Original and Chipotle BBQ. I preferred the original because the Chipotle BBQ were a tad too spicy for me (I’m a wimp when it comes to spicy), but Nate liked both. I especially love that they are non-gmo and gluten-free!

Bear Naked Granola

I have to say I am normally a huge fan of Bear Naked Granola. But to be honest I just wasn’t a fan of either flavors included in the VoxBox. The flavors included were Coconut Almond Curry and Sea Salt Caramel Apple. I wasn’t crazy about the curry flavor added to the coconut almond and I found the Sea Salt Caramel Apple to be a little too salty for my taste.

Nasoya Pasta Zero Noodles

These noodles made me a little nervous at first because they didn’t look like anything I normally cook. Nate and I gave them a try and we didn’t love them. They were a little too gummy for our taste.

NYC New York Color City Proof 24/hour Eye Shadow (Tribeca Taupe)

Loved this product! I like the idea of eye shadow being in “crayon” form and I really like the color they sent me. It does wear nicely for a long time as well which is great!

Overall, receiving my first VoxBox was awesome and I hope to receive more in the future! Have you received a VoxBox before? I’d love to hear about your experience or any questions you may have about mine!

Xo,

Chrissy

*I received these products complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes
