This Easter I really wanted to do some sort of fun activity with the boys that centered around Jesus. I was trying to think of what we could do and then remembered we still had some plastic Easter eggs from the dollar tree last year.
So I decided to do a scripture egg hunt!
The supplies
I found verses that correlated with the Easter story and and made a printable with them on it
Next I cut the verses out
Then it was time to fill the eggs. Nate helped me fold the verses and fill the eggs with candy. We numbered the eggs 1-6 and put the most candy in the last egg which said, “‘He is not here, HE IS RISEN, just as he said’ The SWEETEST news of all!”
We had the best time hiding the eggs!
We gave the boys each something they could put their eggs in and then it was time for the egg hunt
Once they found the eggs, it was time to open them with Dada and talk about why we celebrate Easter
I think this will be a new Easter tradition in our home, we had such a fun time! I shared the verse printable I made below in case you would like to try this activity with your littles! Happy hunting and happy Easter! He is Risen!
Do you have Easter activities or traditions you like to do with your littles? I’d love to read about them in the comments!

Chrissy

Beautiful idea! I love it!
We do the resurrection eggs, bought from family Christian stores and have made the resurrection rolls. Super fun and yummy and always pointing to Jesus! Our reason for living :)
Resurrection rolls? I’ll need to get that recipe from you, love it!
